L.A. Strong = Oakwood Strong

Oakwood School came together for an unforgettable evening of school spirit and community support at Spirit Nite on Friday, January 17, in the Secondary Campus gym. The annual event brought students, families, and faculty together for a celebration filled with free t-shirts, food trucks, basketball scrimmages, and soccer relays featuring our elementary campus athletes.

This year, the Oakwood community also rallied to support those affected by the L.A. County wildfires. Students stepped up in a big way, collecting much-needed donations and gift cards to assist food banks, first responders, teens, babies, and animals impacted by the fires. With coordination from Oakwood Student Council, Oakwood Food Bank, Oakwood Paws for Life, and Oakwood Volunteer Club, the school demonstrated its commitment to service and solidarity. L.A. Strong = Oakwood Strong.

Adding to the excitement, Oakwood’s Hip Hop Dance team energized the crowd, and the school honored its High School senior athletes. The evening wrapped up with thrilling Girls & Boys High School Varsity Basketball games—GO OWLS!
