L.A. Strong = Oakwood Strong

Oakwood School gathered together for an afternoon and evening of community connection and support at Spirit Nite on Friday, January 17, in the Secondary Campus gym. The annual event included free t-shirts, food trucks, basketball scrimmages, and soccer relays featuring our elementary campus athletes.

This year, Owls also supported members of our school and greater Los Angeles impacted by the L.A. County wildfires. Students were activated to support Angelenos during this crisis and collected needed donations and gift cards to support food banks, first responders, teens, babies, and animals impacted by these fires. Oakwood Student Council, Oakwood Food Bank, Oakwood Paws for Life, and Oakwood Volunteer Club helped coordinate these collection efforts. L.A. Strong = Oakwood Strong.

Throughout the evening, Oakwood’s Hip Hop Dance team pumped up the crowd, and Oakwood’s High School senior athletes were recognized. The night culminated with the Girls & Boys High School Varsity Basketball—GO OWLS!
