Last spring, Kinder and 6th grade buddies collaborated on a vibrant mural that symbolized the friendships cultivated throughout the year. Elementary Art Teacher Dana Bradley describes the joyful process of creating these designs. “Each buddy group designed a flower, choosing colors and shapes to represent themselves individually and as a partnership. They thought about their feelings, aspirations, goals, culture, and heritage when creating their sketches.”
The resulting mural showcased the unique and cherished friendships between the Kinder and 6th grade buddies. ‘I particularly love how their personalities shone through their collaboration,” Dana shares. A thoughtful and enriching experience, Dana hopes to continue this tradition with future buddy pairs at the Elementary Campus for years to come.
