We know how special it is for alumni to spend time with their Oakwood friends and former teachers too. Whether you live in LA, on the west coast, or you’re on the other side of the country, there are many ways to connect, celebrate, collaborate and be inspired by Oakwood friends old and new.
Regional Events provide an opportunity to meet fellow alumni, parents and friends who live close to you and help you stay in touch with what’s happening at Oakwood. These gatherings are also wonderful opportunities to share Oakwood memories and network with other alumni.
I was delighted to hit the road for a few recent events with our new Head of School, Jaime Dominguez, and Ivan Johnson, Director of Co-Curricular Programs, who has been teaching at Oakwood for 19 years.
Thanks to the hard work of our Alumni Council, alumni volunteers, and Ivan’s help with outreach, we are continuing to keep our alumni and parents of alumni engaged and connected to each other and to the school.
I love hearing all the stories of Oakwood alumni connecting with one another across class years, making new friendships and providing career opportunities in the process. So far this year, we’ve traveled to Seattle, Providence, Boston, New Haven, Princeton, New York and Washington, D.C. We’ll be heading to San Francisco and other cities soon so stay tuned for an event coming to you!
