On Friday, February 22, Oakwood’s Elementary Campus celebrated Black History Month by participating in the National African American Read-In, a nation-wide literacy event for schools, libraries, community, and professional organizations. Guest readers from our community visited each of our Kindergarten through sixth-grade classrooms to read and discuss books and poems about the African American experience. Our deepest gratitude to all who participated and we are thrilled to make this an annual event at Oakwood School.
