“Period. End of Sentence.” is an Oscar Nominee

It has been a long journey for the Oakwood students and alums who formed The Pad Project, English teacher Melissa Berton, Director Rayka Zehtabchi, and all the incredible families and community members who have been instrumental in the support and creation of Period. End of Sentence. Today, that journey, which has brought so much awareness to the issues of menstrual health, education, and the empowerment of girls reached an incredible goal as the film was nominated for an Academy Award in the Documentary Short category !
