Oakwood Bands Rock for a Great Cause

On Sunday, May 6, about two dozen Oakwood musicians and members of the Junior Advisory Council of the Small Wonders Foundation rocked out at The Mint LA and raised more than $10,000 to help children from around the world with facial differences receive the life-changing surgery they need.

The following Oakwood bands/students performed at this event for the Small Wonders Foundation, which supports the work of Dr. John Reinisch, an Oakwood alumni parent (Max Reinisch ’13):

    • This is Fun—Simon ’23, and Noah ’22
    • Jazz Poodle—Kaipo ’22, Skylar ’21, Jakob ’22, Daniel ’22, Music Teacher Brian Walsh
    • Molly Sierra—Molly ’24 solo
    • Bleach—Brandon ’23, Max ’23, Emmet ’23, Koa ’21, Kaipo ’22

Small Wonders Rocks: Music with a Cause was a wonderful, supportive event. They even made the news!
