This past weekend, the varsity girls volleyball team competed against teams from several other leagues in the 2017 Brentwood School Invitational Tournament. After a tough first game against Brentwood, the girls turned the day around with wins against Archer and Wildwood, earning them a place in the finals against Brentwood. The girls played their hearts out in the deciding game and proudly placed second, bringing home Oakwood’s latest addition to the school trophy case.

Girls Volleyball Shines at Brentwood
Congratulations to coaches Ryan Duncan and Paige McPherran, and to all the hard working players. Special recognition goes to Lydia Pretlow ’18, and Mazie Watson ‘19 who were recognized by all the tournament teams coaches with All-Tournament medals for their outstanding performance and good sportsmanship throughout the day’s games.
